Cab Calloway
I caught the last half of an old musical on the Fox Movie Channel this past Sunday, Stormy Weather (1943). I’m a little embarrassed to say this, but other than recognizing the name and face, this was really my introduction to Cab Calloway. The guy is awesome.
This clip is he and his band performing “Jumpin’ Jive.” The second half of the tune features a couple of excellent dancers that just bring down the house.
