On the impending Rapture
Some missionaries from the Jehovah’s Witnesses came by a couple of weeks ago when nobody was home. My girlfriend found one of their pamphlets stuck in the front door, which is where the above picture comes from. The picture is now hanging on our refrigerator.
It’s hanging on the refrigerator not for any religious reasons, but because my girlfriend thinks the depiction of a short haired Jesus sporting a close-cropped beard looks like me. She finds this terribly amusing, and I suppose it is. However, I’m as much worried as I am amused.
On the outside chance that those fundamentalist nuts aren’t so crazy after all, and the world’s end, hosted by Jesus, is coming in about an hour, please keep the following in mind. When getting in line for your final judgement, make sure you’re getting in the line with Jesus at its head. I don’t need a bunch of you sinners — and you know who you are — making the mistake of getting in line to see me.
I trust I’ll be having my own problems.
